On Jan. 6, I was present with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Advanced Education to announce a new program that will provide extremely useful assistance to Canada’s soldiers as they transition from active military service to rewarding careers in Alberta’s vibrant economy.

 Many times men and women in the military must start from scratch when they decide to leave the service and too often are not able to achieve recognition for the unique skills they possess as a result of serving with the Canadian Forces. 

It is a matter of pride that Alberta recognizes more credentials of Canadian Forces personnel in the construction, transportation and hospitality sectors, than any other Canadian jurisdiction.
